We offer a variety of gentle and moderate level drop in online yoga and in-person yoga classes in the Hatha and Kripalu Yoga traditions.
Our experienced yoga teachers and yoga therapists are experts in working with people who live with chronic pain or health conditions such Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Effects of Cancer Treatment, injuries, or neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis. Our adaptive yoga approach offers plenty of space to work safely at your own pace, and from a yoga mat or a chair. These classes are also great for people who are simply interested in moving at a slower, more relaxed pace! Attention to breathwork, meditation and the spiritual aspects of practice are also emphasized. We are currently holding yoga classes online. A couple of steps up from the gentle practice in terms of strengthening and physical challenge. Teachers work in a developmental manner, beginning with a gentler version of a posture/sequence and building gradually to a more advanced version. There is still plenty of room to modify as needed and permission given to stick with less physically demanding practices. Our teachers are very experienced at adapting movement to meet individual needs. Emphasis is also given to breath, philosophy and the meditative/spiritual aspects of practice.
MODERATE YOGA AND MEDITATION
A Moderate level yoga class that incorporates 1 hour of asanas and 15 minutes of guided meditation.
ENERGIZE AND STRENGTHEN
Based on the Viniyoga methodology, this class will focus on practices that inspire life force energy to flow within and the nervous system to balance. Movement is joined with breath and intention to support integration of body, mind and heart. This is an all levels class where students are encouraged to work at their own pace and options are given to find what feels right for each person.
GENTLE RESTORATIVE YOGA
A gentle level yoga class where a part of each session is devoted to working with restorative postures using bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows to help facilitate deep restoration on the cellular level. These classes are offered periodically. Please call 206-547-2172 for more information.
YOGA FOR RELAXATION
Explore a mix of movement (postures); breath work and meditation to help facilitate relaxation. Postures may include yin, restorative, and others to promote relaxation.
Chair Yoga utilizes the chair throughout class to create comfort in seated postures and to help with balance in standing postures. This class is especially good for people who have trouble getting up and down from the floor, are not comfortable sitting on the floor, are challenged with balance, or are just looking for a unique way to practice yoga.
Each class incorporates seated breath work, various postures using a chair, and seated guided meditation. Yogic philosophy and meditative/spiritual aspects of practice are incorporated into each class. This class is included as part of our community classes.
YOGA FOR OSTEOPOROSIS
– Learn about the physiology of bones and why yoga is so effective in preventing the progression of Osteoporosis!
– Learn how to adapt yoga practices safely for bones that may be more fragile.
– Study a specific approach to yoga that has been proven to strengthen bones.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTED CLASSES
Any class on the schedule that is described as a “community” class, is offered at a discounted rate. Students will receive the discount when purchasing a 10 Class Card for Online Gentle Yoga Community Classes ($110 for 10 classes). Students can also use regular passes to attend these classes. Currently our community classes include our Tuesday 10:00 a.m. Gentle Yoga: Friday, 12:00 p.m. Gentle Yoga and Monday 12:00 p.m. Chair Yoga.
