CHRISTY FISHER is a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy (C-IAYT), a Kripalu Yoga teacher at the professional level, and has practiced yoga for over 25 years. She is also a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst and brings over 20 years of somatic education and yoga training to her teaching. She is passionate about making the transformational practice of yoga accessible to all abilities from athletes to people with physical limitations and chronic health conditions. Along with directing Phinney Ridge Yoga, she has taught for the National MS Society Washington State Chapter, Cancer Lifeline, and the Washington State Traumatic Brain Injury Association.

“Christy continually amazes me with the wisdom of her teaching style. She empowers students to respect and listen to their bodies to guide them to connect to their own wisdom. Christy is a masterful teacher with a seemingly limitless and often subtle yoga vocabulary. In addition, she has a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart. I highly recommend studying with her.”  -Lynne Conrad Marvet, Co-Director, Nalanda West Study and Meditation Center

“I have been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome the past couple years. When I was not able to turn myself over and I was too weak to walk, Christy always found a way of  guiding me and strengthening me physically and emotionally.   She seems to have a special power and knowledge to help heal any level of our suffering. I highly recommend Christy’s class for both sick and healthy people.” -Meg Crawford, Seattle, WA

“Christy is the most compassionate and informed yoga instructor I have ever known.”
-Maya Vajra, Seattle, WA

JULIE HSU has pursued intensive studies in yoga since 2003 with Kripalu teacher Ken McCray and then with her current teacher Yoganand Michael Carroll. She completed 200 hour teacher training in the Pranakriya tradition with Yoganand in 2008 and her 500 hour advanced certification in 2011. She brings a passion for philosophy and history of yoga to her classes which are known in Seattle for their transformational depth. When Julie is not teaching or practicing yoga, she is enjoying soaking up every minute of her son’s childhood and serving in her other role as a veterinarian.

“Julie’s classes inspire me to work to my edge.  She has broadened my understanding of meditation and opened my mind to the possibility of spirit.  Every class is a surprise and a gift.” -Lisa Arnold, Seattle, WA

“Julie has helped me advance my practice in extraordinary ways.  I’ve been doing yoga off and on for 20 years but since working with Julie, I have been consistently “on.”  I’ve had many yoga instructors but Julie is the only one I would call my teacher.  Thank you, Julie, for sharing your wisdom and compassion!” -Ed Shanken, Seattle, WA
